Portugal Beat Czech Republic 2-0 to Reach Last 16 of Nations League

Gonçalo Guedes and Bruno Fernandes scored the goals as Portugal beat Czech Republic 2-0 to reach the last 16 of the Nations League.

Portugal dominated the game from start to finish and created a number of chances, but they were unable to break the deadlock until the 33rd minute when Bruno Fernandes sent a cross into the box which was headed home by Gonçalo Guedes.

Portugal doubled their lead in the 52nd minute when Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty after Cristiano Ronaldo was fouled in the box. The Czechs never looked like getting back into the game and Portugal held on to claim a comfortable victory.

The win means that Portugal have now won two of their three group games and are top of the table. They will be looking to finish the group stage with a win against Spain in their final game, which would see them reach the last 16.

Czech Republic, on the other hand, have now lost two of their three games and are bottom of the table. They will need to beat Switzerland in their final game to have any chance of reaching the last 16.
