Hypercar Categories

LMDh cars are hybrid vehicles that combine the chassis of a production car with a race-spec engine and powertrain. They are designed to be eligible to race in both the World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. *

Grand Touring Prototype (GTP)

GTP cars are a new category introduced in 2023. They are similar to LMDh cars but are designed to be more production-based. GTP cars are eligible to race in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and other selected events.
